About Us

Please join us at the beautiful Layton Park in Coatesville, PA for a 5K Run and 1K Run/Walk benefiting the LaMancha Animal Rescue. The race staging area will be located at Pavilion 5. Besides the 5K, there will also be a 1K fun run/walk for all ages and speeds. All proceeds from this 5K and 1K fun run/walk will aid the efforts of LaMancha Animal Rescue. LaMancha rescues and finds homes for dogs, cats, horses, goats and the occasional exotic animal. If you are unable to participate please consider a donation.

LaMancha Animal Rescue is a no-kill animal shelter located in Unionville, Pennsylvania. LaMancha is a privately funded 501c3 charity that was originally formed as an alternative to the slaughterhouse for ex-racehorses.

Today, LaMancha rescues and finds homes for not only horses, but also dogs, cats, goats, and the occasional exotic animal that requires more space or specialized knowledge than most SPCAs can offer.

Consider becoming a volunteer and donating your time to help care for the many animals we have at LaMancha.

When horses are accepted into the program, they come to the farm for evaluation. They are then trained for a four to six month period.

LaMancha rescues and finds homes for not only horses but also dogs, cats, goats and the occasional exotic animal.

We take in other animals that traditional shelters cannot provide for, including goats, sheep and various farm animals.
